SUMMARY:DEADLINE: NYU Startup Bootcamp #2
DESCRIPTION:Event Details\nThe Startup Bootcamp at the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute is the first stepping stone in the award winning NYU Startup Accelerator Series. \nBootcamps are two half-day workshops and a week of customer discovery interviews in between. Selected teams will learn how to test the value of their ideas and validate (or invalidate) the problem they are solving for their target customer. As teams work to transform their assumptions into insights\, they will refine their businesses and may even pivot on the road to building a more successful startup. \nBootcamps are designed for teams who have shown commitment to moving their ideas forward and have been working on their idea-stage venture for ~2–6 months before applying. Completing a Bootcamp is a prerequisite for the Startup Sprint and Female Founders Fellowship (>90% of teams accepted into these programs completed the Bootcamp).

Whether you are an NYU student\, researcher\, or faculty\, a Startup Sprint will challenge you to deepen your understanding of your customers and to cater your business idea to their needs—we call this “problem-solution fit”. During the program\, your team will have access to expert startup coaches who will help guide you through this process. You will also be provided with skills-building workshops\, grant funding\, peer support from your cohort of startup teams\, and more! \nPast participants have left the program with a newfound confidence in their business capabilities\, having found the experience “transformative and groundbreaking”. Past teams have won the $300K NYU Entrepreneurs Challenge\, the InnoVention Challenge\, the TigerLaunch entrepreneurship competition\, and have been accepted into the NYU Summer Launchpad and Stern Venture Fellows programs\, among others. Many have gone on to generate revenue and raise investment capital! \nStartup Sprints are held in the winter and in the summer when regular classes are not in session. The next Startup Sprint will take place January 7-17\, 2020 (all day Mon-Fri).
