For the challenge, NYU Tandon students created roughly 5-7 minute presentations to a panel of NYU<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> faculty judges. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first team, Everywhere, presented to the audience by first providing information on America\u2019s views on electric vehicles. Whereby those planning to purchase electric vehicles rose from 15% in 2017 to 20% in 2018. \u00a0The team proceeded to answer questions from the audience, explaining: \u201cThere is a movement towards electric in all different industries, a shift towards EV (electric vehicle) with less range than a full tank of gas. This database can understand your own city, it\u2019s own type of users. The team emphasized how their product is centered on mobility and accessibility, \u201cTo the People. Essentially, they propose to develop a hardware and software integrated system enabling the ability to divide power distribution at charging stations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-997 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/microsites.engineering.nyu.edu\/cie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/03\/7-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"http:\/\/microsites.engineering.nyu.edu\/cie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/03\/7-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/microsites.engineering.nyu.edu\/cie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/03\/7-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/microsites.engineering.nyu.edu\/cie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/03\/7.jpg 820w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The final winners were announced after the panel of NYU<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> faculty judges discussed the different teams for 10-15 minutes. Coming in second place was team City Charge, the second place winners of the Audi<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Drive Progress Grant, created by students Jillian Larson, Nicola Ramdass and Bryanna Simone Allen.
